Presenting is my greatest strength.

Wait, sorry, did I say presenting was my greatest strength? I meant to say mentoring. I excel at guiding and motivating creative teams. (But the presenting is still really good.)

My work has won recognition from The One Show, The Obies, Creativity Annual, and many Addys.

While I’ve spent most of my career writing, I began as an art director and have maintained graphic skills—partly to better inform my guidance to art directors, and partly for the joy of it. I am proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Final Cut Express. I know my way around in Flash and Illustrator.

I taught at The Portfolio Center and Creative Circus for ten years. I enjoyed it immensely.

I love working with account managers who take pride in crafting great briefs. When I read a great brief —one that contains a powerful insight—I cry tears of joy. It’s embarrassing.

Since I missed the first revolution in advertising (and can only hear its echo on Mad Men), I’m excited to be working now, during the industry’s second reinvention—a time when we are daily redefining what it means to be creative.

I am actively involved in helping illiterate adults learn to read.
