I make photographs of things left behind in the Great Basin Desert. This is one of them. It shows a machine that at one time had a purpose. Now it is useless. It is in the southwestern region of the Great Basin Desert. I have photographed it many times. This is the photograph that best communicates my feelings about the machine.
